This installation explores themes including mass media, technology, popular culture and everyday moments through a variety of bright saturated paintings. I'm interested in the world around us, our routines, our habits, what we are drawn to and the roles that technology and media has in our lives as well as how we might escape them.

The work I made for this exhibition aims to capture contemporary society through my own experiences and place them in a sort of different reality to provide a new perspective. My work aims to both appeal to and draw people in with the colours, shapes, compositions and familiarity, to then provide an opportunity of reflection for the audience on their own experiences and their own views on the subject.

The works within the installation '22' include ‘Ego’, ‘A.M.’, ‘P.M.’ and ‘Tabs’, and provides a look into the mind and experiences myself as an art student at 22 years old in 2023, sharing my own struggles with mental health, overwhelm, burnout and how art has been an escape from it all throughout my life.
