My name is Jade. I’m a 24 year old artist living and working in Stoke-on-Trent.

In 2023 I graduated with a degree in Fine Art, and whilst I learnt a huge amount about art and being a practicing artist within the professional field, I found the academic pressure stunted my creativity and fell into a rut with my own practice. Since taking some time to fall back in love with both creating and consuming art, I have reclaimed the passion I once had and thus my journey continues.

The inspirations of my work more recently have been influenced by my new found love for journaling. I will write how I feel about myself, the world around me, the things I have learnt, and other thoughts that occupy my mind. I take inspiration from these, along with everyday objects and experiences, media and popular culture to create paintings in their own sort of surreal existence. My paintings are a way for me to appreciate, critique and explore the world around me and I intend to inspire others to explore themselves and the world in the same way.
